Chain stitch embroidered items have always been our holy grail, with their one-of-a-kind, hand-drawn charm that modern computerized embroidery just can't replicate. In 2023, I dove into chain stitching using my rare 19th-century Shirmer, Blau & Co machine, and something clicked! It felt like the planets aligned, and I finally found my creative medium. Since then, I’ve been taking my machine out into the community whenever I can to keep this art form alive and crafting custom pieces in my garage workspace.
